LAKE ELSINORE, CA – Lake Elsinore City Council has unanimously approved a project that will bring a 60 unit condominium development to Canyon Hills.

In a 5-0 vote last week, council approved the development by Tri Pointe Homes of the gated community of condos on Railroad Canyon Road in Tassel Way. The existing 9.07 acre vacant site will be subdivided into a 5.37 acre condominium lot, three open plan lots totaling 0.65 acres, private streets totaling 2.06 acres and a retention / quality pond. water totaling 0.99 acres, according to city staff.

The project called Ridgeline in Westridge will be annexed to an association of existing owners for the maintenance of common areas, private streets and the detention pond.

The 60 two-story detached condominium units will feature three different architectural styles (Spanish Colonial, Santa Barbara and Craftsman) and three different floor plans ranging from 1,793 square feet to 2,288 square feet.

The project avoided an updated environmental review. On July 27, 2010, City Council approved an Addendum to the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Canyon Hills specific plan that the city believes is applicable to the current project.
