Menomonee Falls could have two apartment buildings near the town center of the village.

On April 26, the Architectural Control Board approved plans for two multi-family buildings directly east and west of Emerys Cycling Triathlon & Fitness, N88 W15036 Main St.,

The proposal calls for two buildings with a combined total of 86 units.

According to village documents, 36 dwellings are planned for the west building and 50 for the east building.

The proposed buildings would have both surface and gated parking for its residents.

Matt Carran, director of community development, said the project does not have to go through the village council because it fits the village development plan that village officials have already approved.

Carran said there has been interest in redevelopment in the area where the apartments are on offer.

“It’s a great place,” he said, noting that it’s close to shopping, village amenities like parks and the library, and downtown businesses.

Carran said the schedule for construction and completion of the project has yet to be set.
