Active and engaged

Serenade at Princeton emphasizes luxury, privacy and service, she adds. It will offer residents the opportunity to be as active and engaged as they wish or, if they prefer, to stay put, read a book or walk around on their own. Many potential residents are very happy to be able to bring their small dog or cat, which is not available in all senior communities.

“We recognize that everyone is an individual, and we always emphasize that,” Murray said. “There are wonderful socializing opportunities here, but we also value people’s privacy. They can participate as they wish. It is important to understand that residents can be independent and private with the support and services we provide to help them maintain their independence. »

Along with her outstanding service, this recognition is one of the things that sets Serenade apart at Princeton, she notes. “The Serenade brand is unique. It focuses on the individual and offers top-notch service, including our butler service, who is there to meet every resident’s needs, whether they need help with transportation, technology, including the Zoom service, or even online shopping.

Serenade offers assisted living services, and while many residents don’t need extra help and are just happy to not have to maintain a big house, shovel snow, and cook every meals, others may need more help with daily activities. These may include help with bathing, dressing and monitoring medications, etc.

When such services are needed, Serenade offers certified home health aides (care managers) to provide this assistance. Assistance is available for each resident 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all residents receive a health and wellness assessment, as well as a personal care plan, upon arrival. All residents and staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

“I love showing people apartments and helping them find the one that best suits their needs,” says Murray. “It’s helpful for them to have the opportunity to look at the different choices and arrangements. I can also meet their adult children who are into this, watching Serenade for their parents.

“When they move in, I’ll introduce them to the other residents and help them get to know the people who are already there. Some people wait longer to make this move, and many often tell me that they would have liked to come sooner.

“People can make an appointment now to view the apartments. Some have already been booked, and I look forward to welcoming people to enjoy the full range of our services here. It’s a special place, and our goal is to help residents live their lives to the fullest in a safe and vibrant environment.
